Answer

Maa-kun and Taa-kun didn't want to play soccer with the narrator.

仲間に入れる＝to join a group
くれる indicates that the action is being received by the speaker.
So サッカーの なかまに いれてくれへんかった literally means "they didn't want to join my soccer group".

By the way, this book is written in Kansai dialect, but I think you're probably aware of that.
