"Never not be afraid." What does this sentence mean? From the film "the Croods": Fear keeps us alive. Never not be afraid. Does it mean"Don't be afraid" or"Be afraid" ?

It is a kind of joke. It means "always be afraid." It is like saying "Do that!" by saying "Do NOT not do that!"

Double negative. It means "be afraid" because fear can be a good thing
