Do I understand correctly these sentences?
«Way to take one for the team, Spike! Never even saw it coming!» the same as «One way to take someone to the team, Spike! I've never saw it close!»?
If not, explain the first version.

To "take one for the team" is an idiom meaning to personally suffer in order to help a larger group.
For example, suppose your group of friends has done something wrong, and is being punished. One member of the group could 'take one for the team' by saying that they misbehaved alone, and receive individual punishment so that the rest of the group is unpunished.
To "not see it coming" is when something happens that you did not expect. Literally, imagine that you cross the road without looking. You might get hit by a car and 'not see it coming'. However, we use the same phrase even when the thing is not seen, but to do with our expectations.
Presumably, in this case, Spike did something to help people, but he is not the kind of person who usually puts others ahead of themself.
