被動語態 (passive voice) 是以輔助動詞 (auxiliary verb)「(to) be」的時態變換 (conjugation) 配上該動詞的過去分詞 (past participle, pp) 形成。
passive voice = conjugation of auxiliary「(to) be」+ pp of the verb
但前提是該動詞必須爲《及物動詞 (transitive verb)》，因被動語態的主語是一般句子的直接賓語，而一般句子的主語則以《被... (by...)》來表達。
