Is it possible to use "wished" instead of " made a wish" in the following sentence? 1. I wished and blew out the candles. 2. I made a wish and blew out the candles.

"wished" is technically OK to use, but "I made a wish" sounds more natural, and is more commonly used in the situation of blowing candles on a cake on your birthday. When you use just "wished", you usually say what you are wishing for: "I wished I had studied more for the test."
