Hey there!
'look forward to (something or doing something)' = to excitedly anticipate something = to think of (a future event) with pleasurable, eager anticipation.
Examples:
1) ''I'm looking forward to graduation.''
2) ''I'm looking forward to visiting my family this Christmas.''
3) ''Thank you for calling me to schedule an interview. I look forward to it.''
4) ''I'm looking forward to your visit next week.''
5) ''We all look forward to your new book.''
Hope that helps!
