안녕하세요!
오늘은 어느 책에서 "학파"이란 한마디를 우연이 읽었어요. 학파는 "school"를 의미하는 게 분명해요.
그렇지만 보통으로 "school"를 의미하려면은 대신 "학교" 혹은 "대학교"를 쓴 거예요.
궁금하는 건 "학교", "대학교"와 "학파"는 어디에 다르는지요?

'학교'와 '학파'는 다른 뜻이에요.
- 학교 = 학생들을 가르치는 일이 행해지는 곳. ('school' as a place where students are taught)
- 학파 = 특정 인물이나 주장 등을 따르는 학자와 학생 집단. ('school' as a group of followers of certain scholar, theory, etc)
예) 케인즈 학파 (인물 - scholar), 급진주의 학파 (원리 - theory), 영남학파 (지역 - region).
