Are 1, 2 and 3 the same expression? I am interested in the function of 的
imagine I am in a shop, watching bags:
1 - 这个包新
2 - 这个包是新
3 - 这个新的包

Yes! But we would say it like this: 1. 这个包是新的，2. 这个新的包，these two mean exactly the same.
