how do you explain the difference between 土豆片 and 土豆块 in English？ Is 土豆块 a piece of potao? Is 土豆片 a piece of potato? please give me an explaination in English?

I would call 土豆片 "potato slices" or "potato rounds". I would call raw 土豆块 "diced potatoes". After I cooked them, I would call them "home fries" or "homestyle hash browns".
