bag of Bugler What is the meaning of "bag of Bugler?" Hi! I've finished reading Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption by Stephen King. I have highlighted 500 hundred words. Some words are not clear to me at all. One of them is a kind of a shop I've never heard before i.e. bag of Bugler. ‘If you get caught, you’ll say you found it. That’s about the long and short of it. They’ll putyou in solitary for three or four weeks … plus, of course, you’ll lose your toy and you’ll geta black mark on your record. If you give them my name, you and I will never do businessagain. Not for so much as a pair of shoelaces or a bag of Bugler. Thanks!

"Bugler" is a brand of tobacco. They sell tobacco for both pipes and cigarettes (for people who like to make their own cigarettes or might have trouble getting actual premade cigarettes. But can make their own (for example, people in prisons.). Also, "rolling your own" cigarettes was more common in the time period when the book is set.)

Hi! are you certain this does not read "a bag of Bugles"? If you were reading an e-book especially, even well established books can be full of these types of errors. Bugles are a brand of snacks that were very popular a few decades ago in the US. They still exist, but can be a little difficult to find.
