Hi Himel, Sometimes, we are attracted to someone who possesses certain qualities that we aspire to have, such as charming looks, an athletic build or a mesmerising voice. We say that we have an infatuation: an intense feeling of affection due to some quality which we strongly admire. However, this is not to be confused with genuine love where we care for someone more unconditionally on a personal level. Teenagers who idolise their favourite singers have an infatuation for their popularity even if they may not know these singers on a personal level. We can be infatuated with styles and other ideas as well. Infatuations are short-lived while love is more enduring.
