presente vs regalo em PT-BR
Is the noun "regalo" (= a present, a gift in English) used in Brazilian Portuguese or it's Pt-Pt mainly?
If both nouns are commonly used in Pt-Br, what is the difference between them?

Regalo" is used in PT-BR, although it is not common. A more usual version of this word is the derived form "regalia".
"Regalia" is used in some specific contexts, usually formal ones, and it indicates benefits, generous gifts and privileges. For example, you can say: "O luxuoso hotel oferece regalias aos hóspedes, como sauna e piscina aquecida" or even "Ser presidente da companhia confere regalias que os demais trabalhadores não possuem." However, you shouldn't say "regalia" as a simple synonym for present/gift.

In Brazilian Portuguese is "presente".
In European Portuguese is "presente" or "prenda".
Just in Spanish is "regalo".
In Brazilian Portuguese we have a word that remind "regalo", but it's a verb: "arregalar", wich means "open your eyes widely".
That's it! 👍🏼😀

I think you had better look at the dictionary as there are several meanings for them and they only coincide in "gift".
