I wanna know what 'How do you like them apples' means exactly and when can I use this expression.
Hi everyone, I have some questions for you guys :)!
I heard the expression 'How do you like them apples?' on TV shows several times,
but I was'nt able to understand what it means exactly every single time.
Could you teach me what it means and which circumstance can I use this expression?
An 'Oxford Idioms Dictionary for Learners of English' says it is
'used after telling somebody an unpleasant fact or truth, to say that they should accept it'.
...Is it...? than, Can I say "Learning new language is really difficult, How do you like them apples?" to other people when I want to say "It is a very hard work to learn a new language." in a different way?
Thank you for reading, have a good day :)
