Believe/believe in Hi, there Should you say “The puritans, like me, believed IN the bible word by word, they believed IN the ten commandments” or “The puritans, like me, believed the bible word by word, they believed (IN) the ten commandments” With or without “in”? Thank you

“The puritans, like me, believed the bible word by word, they believed in the ten commandments” The difference being here that to believe is to know something is true. To believe In something is to have a feeling that something is true' or that someone can be successful. Examples: I believed my boss would give me a rise this years, and he did. My boss believed in me when he asked me to carry out the project on my own. He felt I was capable.
