Here, “feature” is short for “featured article” and means an article in a magazine that is prominent — such as the cover story or another article at least mentioned on the cover page — as opposed to being a small, less significant article.

Vincent Hayes Gaddis (December 28, 1913 – February 26, 1997) was an American author who invented the phrase "Bermuda Triangle", which he used first in the cover article for the 1964 February issue of the magazine Argosy.[1][2]
