Which is the better word choice for these two sentences? - smack and snap
"She closed her purse with a ____."
"She slammed her briefcase down on the desk with a ____."
Reason, thanks.
ah ha .. Im assuming your using Purse to mean a bag used by women to store personal items (USA) and not UK English "Purse" to mean a small bag (the size of your hand) to store money/credit cards...
She snapped her purse closed.
She slammed her briefcase down on the desk with a thud/loud bang.

All right, Annabelle. Please give me a reason why you choose the word "snap" for the first sentence, comparing to the word "smack". And why do you think "thud" is a better word choice for the second sentence?
Your reason, my appreciation.

We don't say 'Reason, thanks'
We say,
Cheers, thanks
Or
Regards, thanks.
or just
thanks
