What does it mean when someone says... 你很屌!
I remember watching Channel [V] and they used to have a commercial when they would say... Channel [V] 好屌! Is this appropriate slang or is it really vulgar? Is it appropriate to use or will it offend people?

In case you don't know what 屌 is, it means penis. I guess it has something to do with phallic worship. Since we all know what a penis does and since it's used as an adjective here, I will personally translate it into "fucking good". Whether or not it's offensive is on a person-by-person basis.
PS
棒, meaning stick, is actually a euphemism for penis. Therefore, 你很棒 also means 你很屌, but it's not considered vulgar anymore.

Hello Lupat,
Colloquially it means 'you are cool' or ' you are extraordinary' , while in Cantonese it has got a vulgar offensive meaning.
So you better don't use it in general.

Mostly it means "you are great"but it's just used by young guys.is not formal.
there is a second way to use it with a meaning of provocation.
Several examples below :
哇,你好屌啊!wow ,you are great!
你好屌啊!怎么,想打架啊!Pretty good !do you wanna fight with me?
