Jeu is French for a game, jeux is plural for games.

Yes it is game and it has other specific meanings as well :
- In Theater it means "acting"
- When playing cards, it means 'hand'
cacher son jeu
(fig) to keep one's cards hidden
An "jeux" is the plural in all cases.
