Hello everybody,
I 'd like to know if "ka" and "toka" are the same or if there is a difference between them.
Thanks.

Japanese have many words that means "or".
- Polite
もしくは / moshikuwa
または / matawa
や / ya
use は not わ in this case
-Casual
か / ka
とか / toka

Hi! I'm just learning Japanese, but I think I can answer your question. "KA" is used for "OR" in sentences like Nomimono ha koohi ka o-cha ka deshita? "TOKA" is very similar. I heard it in sentences like - I can't write it completely in Japanese - "I said something like "..." toka "...." toka "..." toka "..." to excuse my reaction." But I heard this TOKA in situations when someone is surprised in an ironical way, something like, "Oh no, not really..." Or "Oh no, not that (again)" Or just "Jeez..." Hope I could help you a little bit. :)
