Could someone please explain to me the grammatical structure of the following sentence:
Salazar reagierte damit auf die Entscheidung eines US-Bundesgerichts, das den von Präsident Obama verhängten Bohrstopp für rechtswidrig erklärt hatte.
Danke schoen!Specifically I'm not sure what the "den" is doing in the clause....

Eine enfacher Satz:
Salazar reagierte damit auf die Entscheidung eines US-Bundesgerichts, das den Bohrstopp erklärt hatte.
Die Nebensatz ist ein Relativsatz. Du sollst das in internet suchen.
"den" ist eine Akkusativ Ergänzung, das ist den Artikel von Bohrstopp in Akkusativ.
das=eines US-Bundesgerichts
den=Artikel von Bohrstopp
