what is the meaning of "Namami Nanda - Nandana" in Hindi?
thanks so much for your reply!! this is actually the title of a song that I love very very much. The following is the lyrics of the song:
Sucaru vaktra mandalam sukarna ratna kundalam
Sucarcitanga candanam namami nanda nandana
Vrajangana sunayakam sada sukha pradayakam

Hello Hannya, I have the complete translation of that song, its a "Bhajan",
It "Devocional Song".
"Namami" is a praise, "Nanda" is the adoptive father of Krishna, and "Nandana" in sanskrit means "Son". So, the title of this song means "I praise the Son of Nanda, Lord Krishna". The sanskrit language can be translated in many ways. Its not so easy to keep the real meaning of the phrase when we do it.
Here, so, I send to you a possible way to translate that song:
"I offer pranama (prostation) to Nanda Nandana, the Lord Krishna, whose face is extremely delightful, in whose beautiful ears hang jeweled earrings and whose entire body is anointed with fragrant candana".
"I offer pranama to Nanda Nandana, the Lord Krishna, who as the lover of the Vraja gopis perpetually delights them and who enchants the minds of all living entities (Vraja is the place where He lived, and Gopis was His devotees)".
