{Korean} Why do they sound like this? I was watching a show in Korean and I heard a girl pronounce the word "너" like "더" and the word "네" like "데" and in another show I heard a guy say "비안해" instead of "미안해" and "붜?" instead of "뭐?" Am I just hearing these words wrong or are they pronouned differently sometimes? ><;;

I also believe it's because words are pronounced more nasal. If you pronounce 네 nasally then it will sound like 데, similar with words starting with ㅁ sounding like ㅂ.

It's because we vibrate our vocal cords when pronouncing ㄴ/ㅁ. ㄴ/ㅁ is not pronounced exactly as 'n', 'm' in English.Pronounce ㄴ/ㅁ getting your vocal vords vibrating more.

"너" / "네" / "미안해" / "뭐" are right. I guess when people speak Korean fast in usal life, It could sounds differently to foreigner. I have same problem when I listen to English. I hear different pronounce.
