I think that " I love her" means that the relationship of love is inside the man's heart, or it means that he loves her from his side in which the girl may not be aware that he loves her..
But " I am in love with her" means that both sides "the man& woman..etc" love each other and both feel the relationship of love towards the other person..
In short, "I love her" talks about one person loves a girl..
"I am in love with her" talks about a couple of persons love each other...
I do care about your free lessons, Professor! They are so helpful to me..
I hope the answer is correct...

To me, 'i love her' means that you are expressing admiration for her. but 'im in love with her' means that you are romantically and emotionally attracted to her.

Well, if you ask questions like the one above, people are going to steer clear of your lessons, even if you paid them.

But I still appreciate your teaching.
I love her could mean you love any female, your "just" friends, your mother, your relatives, your classmates, colleagues and so forth, not necessarily to your girlfriend with a relationship with you (if you're a straight male, could be said by a female to another female). A general and common affirmation of one appreciating/being attracted/grateful by/to some female.
I'm in love with her is completely a statement of one's romantic love, moreover to my ears, it's a "temporary and current" status. Sounds like "I'm being in love with her now".
Good question. Our Eliot seems to have fussed over it.
