the correct english is "a faithful replica of something that never existed"
faithful here means 'faithful to the original', -- i.e. "accurate".
maybe something like 一個從來不存在東西的真實複製...

maybe it is 它是一个从没有存在过的复制品。but if there is a context, you will get a more accurate meaning

It means the entire thing is a scam. Someone fooled people into believing that something existed, then he fooled them into believing he has a faithful replica. He's probably referring to the DaVinci Code.
