What does these Hindi words mean?
Sirf, poochne, sherwaat, pasant, jaane tu jaane na.

Sirf = Just - only
poochne = to ask
sherwaat = the start - the beginning
pasant = to like
jaane tu jaane na
jaane = know
tu= you
jaane na = don't know

INTERESTING:)
pasand => in Persian, we have this word with the same meaning.
sirf => again, we have the word "صرفا"(serfan----> the "an" makes it an adverb) and it just means "only" ^_^
sherwaat=> there is the word "شروع"( shuru' ) in persian. and Tushar said that "shuru'aat" is the same for "sherwaat". "aa" in "shuru'aat", I may say, is the plural suffix:-? .
and for "poochne", we have the word "پرسيدن،پرسش"(porsidan=infinitive, porsesh=noun). maybe they're coming from the same roots:-?? altogether, finding these common roots raised my interest for learning Hindi^_^

sirf == only ,poochne==ask,sherwat(shurwat)==start,pasant(pasand)==liking, jane tu ya jaane naa ==you know as well you don't know :)
