Yes NYC is dirty. I think dirtier than most cities. Reason is because we (i'm from New York City) throw out the trash outside on the street when its time to be collected. So you pass by many places and it just smells like trash. Its not SUPER dirty. But it is dirty. Most other cities I've traveled too have kept there city cleaner than we have. But i love my city :).

Not any dirtier than other very large cities. It is certainly much cleaner on a Sunday morning than most cities in the U.K.
