What is the meaning of sentence ended with "...딴말이야" My korean friend sent me a message in kakaotalk normally we chat in korean and I understand almost all of them, but sometimes got stuck along the way because of how we ended the sentence and how its meaning changes. she sent me "나화장지웠딴말이야ㅠㅠ" I've heard it from TV program before but still have no idea. Please give me examples and how to use it. What's the sense in this kind of sentence and when we use this.

I think it will not be easy for a Korean learner to catch the exact meaning, but let me give it a shot.^^ As 기쁨이 said above, it is not the standard but in casual conversations it is often used as "-딴 말이야" instead of "-단 말이야" to add more strong feelings. It has a sense of "I have done something just now but unfortunately it ended up being useless, so that it makes speakers irritated or upset a bit" Taking your sentence as example, it means "I have just wipped out the make-up for a reason, but something, actually I expected to happen, has not happened, so that I am upset now". Hope it helps. ^____^
