I like Natacha's answer. Detach and disengage are better, since "grounding" is more about a moment of re-connecting to experience and ourselves. You used the word "escape," which implies more of a leaving than a re-connecting. So "detach" and "disengage" are great alternatives, but I would add that we commonly use the word "unplug" in informal English. This can either mean that we have stopped engaging in the online world or that we have also stopped engaging in anything stressful or work-related.

You can say grounding helps us escape from our daily life, but you can try to say it helps us "detach'' or ''disengage'' from it for a time being. Escape implies a complete removal from something. Detach or disengage are better choices because they capture the idea of taking a mental break from the stresses and worries of daily life without completely leaving it behind.

Hi Penny, Grounding can help us escape from our daily lives for the time being. subject verb agreement - our and lives are both plural. life is not plural.
