A lady got the champion of the marathon. When the the journalist interviewed her acceptance speech. This lady said she just hope her supervisor could approve her to get a compensatory leave attending this kind of sports. Cause it is her hobby and she loves it so much. This comment arouse a big controversy in society. Most of the people don’t support her idea. She is a nurse who need to go to work on weekends but it shows that she always ask for a leave to attending the marathon at weekends. That means other nurse needs to sacrifice their weekends to help her join the marathon. That is unjust .

It’s her hobby, and she loves it very much. Her comment caused a big controversy in society. Most people didn’t support her idea. She is a nurse who often has to work on weekends, but it seems she regularly asks for time off to join marathons. This means other nurses have to give up their weekends to cover for her, which many people feel is unfair.

"Compensatory leave" isn't a natural expression for us in the U.S. We say "time off".
