Which of the following is right?
1. He ran too fast for me to catch up with.
2. He ran too quickly for me to catch up with him.

You usually use fast when talking about the speed that something goes and quick when talking about periods of time.
- He ran too fast for me to catch him.
- So I stopped and had a quick snack.

You could say both. Using “quickly” is a bit awkward to my ear. Also, grammatically, it is probably better to add “him” to the first sentence.
