The square dancing
Boys and girls,
I’m very happy to speak here and I’d like to talk about my grandma.
A few months ago, my grandma went to do square dancing after dinner. Since then, she has been interested in doing square dancing. Now, she is much healthier than before and has been made a number of friends.
As the saying goes, every coin has two sides. Some of the neighbors have a complaint against old people who always do square dancing after dinner. Why? Because they think the music is so loud that they can’t sleep well at night.
In my opinion, people can do square dancing because it’s very good for our health. But they shouldn’t make too much noise.

I’ m Huang Peiru. For this report I have interviewed my mother. She said that great changes had taken place in Zhangzhou these years. People in Zhangzhou are very happy because of the development of our hometown.
In the past, life was very simple. There were few leisure activities. The roads were very narrow and few people had their own cars. Many children couldn’t get an education and their living conditions were very poor. People often wrote letters to keep in touch with each other.
However, things have changed greatly since the reform and opening-up. People have more time to enjoy themselves. The roads are getting wider and wider. Many families have had their own cars. Most children can study in modern schools with new classrooms and they can get a good education. They can live in tall and bright buildings. What’ s more, communications are becoming easier and quicker.
The changes in Zhangzhou make me excited and I hope my hometown will become better and better.

One day, someone sent Cao Cao an elephant. Cao Cao wanted to know its weight, but there was no big scale to weigh it. Nobody knew how to weigh it. Suddenly, Cao Chong, one of Cao Cao’ s sons, told his father he could weigh the elephant if he had a big boat and plenty of stones. Cao Cao was surprised, but he still ordered his men to get everything ready. Cao Chong let the elephant go onto the boat. When the boat stopped sinking, he asked a man to draw a line. Then, some men were required to put the stones into the boat until the water reached the line. Last, Cao Chong made the men to weigh the stones and calculated the weight of the elephant.

The world is becoming better and better, but there are also many problems. Some people are living a hard life. Many children have to be laborers and they can’t receive a good education.
There are many causes of child laborers. They must leave home and work to make to make money because their families are very poor or their families ask them to drop out of school. Sometimes children lose warm houses and have no enough food to eat. No children want to be laborers.
Whatever the cause of child laborers is, the effects are the same. They get little care from others and often feel lonely. They often work in dangerous conditions but they can’t get enough money.
The governments are trying to solve their problems. I hope everyone can live a happy life.

I will remember my school life forever
I have a lot of unforgettable memories of the past three years. However, I will have to say good-bye to everything in the soon.
Our school are very beautiful. There are some tall and bright buildings and the buildings are also surrounded by green trees. We students listened to the teacher carefully and learned a lot from each other. Thanks to my teachers, I have made much process. They would help us whenever we got into trouble. What’ s more, I really enjoyed doing sports with my classmates after school.
In a word, I will remember my middle school life forever and I will miss my school from the bottom of my heart.

Recently, we did a survey in our school on what a good friend should be like. The students have their own ideas and the ideas are different. Nearly all of them think a good friend should be active, kind, helpful and honest. He or she should trust you and be glad to share joys with others. Sixty- seven percent of the students think their friends had better like singing and dancing. Besides, they want their friends to be goo at sports. About half of them think that a good friend should be hard- working and do well in lessons. Less than ten percent of the students would like their friends to be beautiful and handsome. What’s more, they prefer to choose those people that are slim as their friends.
In my opinion, to be honest is more important than to be beautiful and handsome. As for me, a good friend must be honest.
