I want to know how native English speakers spell the words? When I come up with some 'big words', they are hard to be spelled out. As a second-language speaker in English, I have a myth that I should obtain the ability to spell the words by letters. For example, 'doctrine' is 'd-o-c-t-r-i-n-e', or 'jeopardize' is 'j-e-o-p-a-r-d-i-z-e'. But I find it so hard to practice and very low-efficient. So I wonder if native speakers are taught to remember the long words in different way, like 'doctrine' is 'doc-trine' and 'jeopardize' is 'jeo-par'dize'. Because in China, teachers normally don't teach that way, students are requested to write many time of the words to remember them. But this method won't suit the high-level students, because we want to obtain a larger amount of new words through reading. Also I want to know how you can remember so many long words since there are so many of them, do you read them in articles or news or movies?

Is it "as to“ similar to "about? I am doing reading study. I saw a sentence "Thousands of articles are written in the newspapers giving advice of all types as to what people should be doing". Here is it "as to" same as "about"? Normally I use "about" everywhere.

Let go in life Last year I quit my job. It's been the second time I choose to quit a job after working in the companies 3 or 4 years. For me I always feel like it's difficult to continue the passion on something. If you ask me what do I want, I probably would answer I don't know. I know that's unbelievable. Like my US friend who wonder how could people don't know what they want to do in the future, let alone plans for the future. I ask the same question to myself with so much anxiety and puzzle. So this time, I am not jumping into another company as soon as what people may expect. I let myself to learn how to live. I move out from my parents house not long after I quit my job. It's totally a challenge I set for myself. Old people don't understand why someone can do this to their parents, but some of my friend support me a lot. I have to admit that there is so much anxiety when I decide to do this and till now the anxiety is still with me. But I let go myself to feel, to observe, to wonder, to trial the new life experiences. I know after a period of long time, I will develop the better life philosophy that will help me better deal with the future. I hope all I have been doing now will be worthy.

how to express that we had a lot of fun dancing? Yesterday me and my friends went to a Salsa dance party. We had so much fun. I want to post a moment like we enjoy the party very much. what terms I can use? I only can think about "We rocked the dance floor" or "We hit the dance floor". Even I know these two terms, but I don't know what exactly they are mean. I mean I can't picturize them in my mind, can any one explain to me? Raining never stop In all this August, we have a very bad weather. I guess it rains almost 20days. It's not raining all days and nights but it rains often before the time we leave work or at the mid nights. And now it's getting worse because the rain haven't stopped for 4 days. Sometimes it rains cats and dogs, the other time it rain a little, but it never stops.

Someone said raining is good because it cools the weather down and people do not need to sweat. Some even said they love to step on the puddles to make their feet cool. But for me, I prefer a warm weather which didn't make me sweat a lot. Just thinking about walking in one of the last summer nights that remainds me how cozy that is.

Now our town is more like a city Jungle. It's wet, foggy, sky grey and mess. Since the humidity is so hight, the wood door is beginning to be staturated and the size is getting bigger. So the door is not gonna fit with the frame. But it will be fine when the weather gets dry again.
