I have had the pleasure of working with Teacher Victoria for over 9 months. Around the start of my Tagalog journey, I happened to stumble upon her amazing intro video. Right away I knew from the way she expressed herself through her energy, creativity, and passion for teaching Tagalog that it was an absolute must for me to see if she was a fit. After completing our first lesson, there was no question at all on who I wanted to invest my time and energy with. Over the course of my time with Victoria, she has taught me so much about Tagalog and Filipino culture. Whether it be analyzing trendy songs, watching YT videos, listening to her podcasts, or just having fun light-hearted chats I have gained so much knowledge and insight that I cannot thank her enough for all she has given me. Teacher Victoria I believe is one of the best teachers on italki and I highly recommend her if you would like to learn from someone who is so kind, supportive, dedicated, and an absolute joy to work with.

Vicky is honestly my favorite language teacher I’ve ever had 🧡 I can definitely feel how much effort she puts into our classes and she is very present while I share stories. I also appreciate how many examples she gives me for new grammar/vocab so that I fully understand. In the short amount of time I’ve been taking classes with Vicky, I’ve already noticed so much progress in my Tagalog! ✨

Vicky is an amazing Tagalog teacher! She is super kind and patient and really knows her stuff. She teaches in a very intuitive and easy-to-understand way and is very well prepared. Highly recommended!

Victoria is a fantastic teacher! We've had a few lessons so far and I've really enjoyed them. She does a great job of mixing more free flowing conversation with structured speaking activities. She also strikes a great balance between giving me time to speak and then either giving grammatical corrections or letting me know how I can rephrase things to sound more conversational/natural and less formal/stiff. I would highly recommend her for conversation practice and also just general Tagalog learning! Maraming salamat, Victoria!

Another great lesson with Vicky! We had some casual conversation in Tagalog about the weather in the Philippines and about the fact that my daughter has been sick with a fever for a week, in addition to chatting about suggestions for food she could eat to help with her recovery. Then we went over a paragraph I had written in Tagalog for my homework, and Vicky (as usual) had a lot of helpful notes about grammar and vocab nuances. Maraming salamat!

Another fantastic lession with Vicky! We had some casual conversation in Tagalog about my daughter's recent birthday, K-dramas, and a Filipino teleserye. We then went over a transcript of a video in Tagalog that Vicky had me watch for homework, and Vicky explained different words in the video. Maraming salamat!
