Hi! I’m an American native English speaker and a TEFL-certified teacher with many years of online teaching experience. As a language learner myself, I understand how challenging learning a new language can be. I focus on helping you feel confident and prepared to use English anywhere—whether at work, traveling, or in daily life.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy running, reading, playing video games, listening to music, and I love animals. I even worked in the veterinary field for several years before becoming a teacher.

I received my TEFL certification in Prague, Czech Republic, and have taught English to learners of all levels in group classes and one-on-one lessons. I have also volunteered in school classrooms, working with English language learners in developing their reading skills, as well as participating in language exchange during university.
My goal as a teacher is to make you feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged. Conversations flow more naturally when we feel secure, so I create an environment in which you feel you can communicate freely, and you do not feel afraid to make mistakes. I aim to make our lessons very enjoyable, and focused on your goals and interests. Speaking and conversation practice will usually be our main focus, because improving this skill leads to more confidence with the language, easier application of the language in real-world situations, and an increased vocabulary. It also allows us to identify grammatical challenges you may be facing, so we can work on those together, using materials I have developed that have proven to be very effective in helping my students better understand different grammar forms. During our conversations, I will give you corrections (verbally and through typed notes in our chat). With me, you'll have fun while you learn!Il mio materiale didattico

I never got better feedback than the one from Melissa, she also taught me how to work with my mistakes. She encourages me every time. She is patient and supportive. And she always share how important is to know this and that (like "This even many of my friends say incorrectly... You don't have to stress about it").
Best teacher I have ever had.❤️👌

Picking Melissa as my English teacher was the best decision of last year. I am so thankful for her patience, encouragement and knowledge. I hope she knows how wonderful teacher she is.❤️😀 At the beginning, I was so shy to speak to anyone, let alone to teacher. Because I thought, that teacher is going to judge me and point only at my mistakes (and I knew, I make a ton of them). She helped me overcome this fear in month. And today, after 1 year of classes, I don't hesitate to speak to whoever and whenever.❤️ The best result that I even haven't dreamed of. Thank you again, Melissa

In recent weeks I needed to have classes here and there, sometimes even during a walk. And she was always very supportive, prepared to help and keen to overcome some connection issues. Great partner to get better in English.👍
