I was born and bred in the Netherlands, and have lived here all my life. My hobbies are travelling and navigating across European waterways, getting to know cultures and local life. Moreover, I am a dedicated teacher of English and Dutch, as well as a student of foreign languages, My interest in language learning has led me to conduct research into innovative ways of teaching English in various European quarters. In 2019 I obtained a doctorate from Nijmegen University, for my dissertaion on Content and Language Integrated Learning.Che tipo di insegnante sono
I have been a language teacher for over 40 years. I started teaching English in secondary school classes and throughout the years I have developed my English and professional skills. At present I teach content-based English to international students in English-taught higher education programmes. You can also book Dutch lessons with me, at all levels from complete beginner to advanced. What I like best about teaching is that I can help people achieve their language goals, and become confident L2 users, whether on holiday, everyday life, work or study.

I am a good and patient listener, and enjoy finding out what is important for my students. The format of one-to-one teaching suits me best, because I can really pay attention to individual learning styles and needs. Therefore I would advise you to book a trial lesson first: it is important for me to know who you are, what you want to learn and what idioms, materials and learning styles will suit you best.
