Gersende

Gersende is my favorite Italki professor. I've been using Italki for years and I've tried over 15-20 different teachers. Gersende is a true expert at correcting and noting mistakes. She is a great conversationalist, very professional, and always on time. She is so good that I am nervous in writing this post, because I'm afraid too many people will start taking lessons with Gersende and I won't be able to find time slots with her!

Gersende has been extremely helpful with all the areas that require touching up on. Writing exercises, presentations and debates on a vast array of content have massively amplified my ability to feel at ease with them. This dynamic has sprouted from books I’ve read, videos, podcasts or topics that come up organically during the lessons. Afterwards, we’ve also moved onto specific preparations for the DALF C1 which build on previous work. I can wholeheartedly recommend her lessons if you want to make solid progress in your language learning journey.

I am super happy with our lessons! She is a very open person and it is easy to find a topic to talk about. I believe that she is also very patient and it helps with my confidence of speaking French! See you in our next class!

I came into this class after not studying French at all for over 15 years. I had a brain injury since studying and had to relearn to even speak English. Gersende was very patient with the fact that I was learning from scratch and that duo lingo wasn’t helping as much as I’d hope. She provided me a lot in just one lesson to practice, and homework I could work on. She even recommended websites and podcasts to try so I could learn even quicker. I highly recommend and will be working with her more to get my French going!
