I have been on italki for more than 5 years and Ella is one of the best teachers I've had on this platform. She's very encouraging, patient and helpful. Moreover, Ella is always super prepared, dilligent and always willing to switch things up with games, role-playing dialogues and fun facts about culture, history & co. I can warmly recommend her to all students and I assume that even students who are a bit shy will find a very engaging teacher in Ella.

I have been working with Ella for a few weeks now, and I have only positive things to say about her. At this point, I have had numerous Chinese teachers and tutors (on Italki and not on Italki), and she is definitely one of the best! We have a clear plan (work through the HSK 5 textbook series), and I feel our progress has been quite reasonable and focused. Ella is certainly the most encouraging tutor I have ever had, and I feel confident when speaking because I know she is not judging me for my mistakes. In terms of feedback, she is direct but not overly critical, focusing instead on the improvements/progress made. Definitely would recommend 10/10.
