I have done a lot of lessons with Joey in the last 2 months. Each lesson has been a lot of fun and I have learned much thanks to him. Throughout the first couple of weeks was focused the majority on verbs and adjectives. then we worked on creating sentences. all this time he has been very patient and helped me whenever I needed assistance in the class as well as outside the class. We learned common questions as well as common slang.he is working hard to make the classes feel enjoyable and safe. I am constantly learning new things at a good pace, and now can read short stories and have the basic understanding of what is happening in it. outside of class he is sending resources that may assist me in my learning. he is also finding ones that are enjoyable.

I am incredibly fortunate to have Joey as my teacher on italki. Joey is not only friendly and approachable but also deeply committed to supporting my language learning journey. He patiently explains unfamiliar words, helping me expand my vocabulary and grasp new concepts. Joey's expertise in grammar and pronunciation has been invaluable in improving my language skills. Joey is a phenomenal teacher! I especially appreciated that. as soon as I started to try to speak more Tagalog to him within the lesson, he responded by posing his questions more in Tagalog, which in turn challenges me to work on my understanding and comprehension. Thank you, Joey!

In my 45 mins bisaya klase with Joey, we covered common and proper nouns, and comparing using 'mas.' Usahay, lisod jud gamay kay I had to ask for the adjective, but Joey will help me out. Also, maayo si Joey kay he will ask me to create example sentences para mapractise ko ang mga words. Salamat sa klase Joey! 🤝🏼
