Being a positive and outgoing person I enjoy all sorts of things social, be it in the form of sports or recreational. I enjoy playing volleyball, squash, juggling and DIY. Whenever I can, I travel to other countries and learn about their culture and, if possible, language (I am currently learning Swedish). I hold a 2nd State Board Exam in teaching English and Geography (highest degree of teaching at German high schools / training based on Master's of Education) and have been tutoring pupils in German and English (alongside Latin and Maths) for more than fifteen years. My teaching experience has significantly increased in the last years especially, I've been teaching German, English and Geography to adults and high school students in the classroom at different high schools as well as online via Italki.

Languages open the door to another world.
I want to help you open that door! I believe that this is best possible by learning a language naturally. This means that language learning needs to be put into context in order to be fun and effective. By working largely with real sources (texts, video and audio) and structuring exercises alongside these in a step-by-step manner ("scaffolding"), I make the content accessible to my students. Nevertheless one needs to be aware that we always need to learn things by heart when we learn a language, be it vocabulary or grammar rules. Through my vast experience and explicit training, I am going to help you do that in a constructive and fun way.Il mio materiale didattico

Nic is a fantastic teacher! It was obvious from the first few lessons he really cares for his student's success. He tailors each lesson plan to align with the student's goals and current skill level. The lessons are engaging, comfortable, and the course materials are top-notch. I'm looking forward to more!

Nic is always on time and has very organized lessons which are a treat to attend. He is also very engaged and tries to tailor my lessons to my needs which is very helpful when I am trying to learn the language efficiently. Had some lessons now with him and are happy to have many more in the future :)

Thanks for another fantastic lesson, Nic! It's AMAZING to already be able to start making basic conversation after just a few lessons so far! And, really thorough explanations of grammar ~ quite helpful indeed !

Nic is very friendly, empathic and knowledgeable. He leads the lessons according to your needs, focusing on doubts that might come up, on a good pronunciation and making sure you understand the language and its rules. Very professional. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who wants to learn the language properly.
