Hi, I’m Paul, a native Czech speaker from Znojmo, now based in Birmingham, United Kingdom. I’m fluent in Czech and English and have 2+ years of experience as a Student Mentor, helping international students improve their language skills. My lessons are tailored to your goals: conversation, grammar, pronunciation, or interview prep. I focus on practical speaking while also improving accuracy. In our first lesson, I assess your level and create a personalised plan. I teach all levels and create a friendly, supportive environment to help you build confidence and progress. I discovered my passion for teaching during my university experience as Student Mentor, which required me to work with international students who often needed guidance and help with the English language. I have worked with students of different abilities; some required more help than others. I am friendly and supportive, and we will work on improving your Czech language skills! My learning style is to set up learning around students' needs - because why would I teach you something you don't want to know, right? I believe that one of the best ways to learn a language is through conversation, but we can practice grammar, pronunciation and other aspects too. In the first lesson, I will evaluate your current language skills, and we will set your goals and aims. Then we can plan our lessons further.

I've just had my first Czech lesson with Paul. I had a chance to use my very limited knowledge of the language and Paul was very patient and encouraging. He helped me with grammar and vocabulary. The lesson was tailored to my level and my needs. I'm looking forward to having another lesson with Paul. I already booked the package!

This was my first Czech lesson, and it was great. Paul made the experience so positive that I'm really excited to learn more. He was very responsive to my particular learning needs and style and geared the lesson accordingly. Everything was wonderful!
