Hi!
My name is Carlos, I'm 31 years old and I'm from Coimbra.
I graduated in Management in the University of Coimbra. I'm currently working as a salesman, selling telecommunication's products.
I did volunteering work in hostels in London and Malaga. I did it because I love meeting people from other countries with different cultures. So volunteering in hostels was a great way to experience that.
In my free time I like reading, watching movies and series, stand-up comedy, cooking, eating what I cooked (that's the best part!), doing yoga, exercising, trekking in the mountains, swimming, spending time with friends and family. As a teacher I always try to make the process of learning fun and enjoyable to the students.
I customize the lessons depending on what are the goals that the students want to achieve. Because in the end, their goals become my goals. Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
I use methods that allows students to learn the language as natives do, using videos, audios and writing-form materials.
That way they learn the language as a whole and don't focus too much on specific parts like grammar or vocabulary. Unless that's their target goal, meaning improving grammar by instance. In that case, and in any other one, the lessons and exercises will be customized to achieve that specific goal.Il mio materiale didattico

Carlos is an awesome teacher! I would definitely recommend him. He has a great approach to teaching and it has really helped me to improve speaking Portuguese. I am super thankful because before I had started I had thought I would never learn a second language but thanks to his help I have improved a lot. Couldn’t recommend him enough! Thanks Carlos!

Carlos is a great teacher — his lessons are really well organised but still relaxed and fun. He’s really good at giving feedback in a way that helps me improve without feeling overwhelmed. I always come away from class feeling like I've learned more and more confident.

A well structured and varied first Portuguese lesson for an absolute beginner! We covered pronunciation, verb declinations and simple sentences. Carlos was encouraging and patient, correcting where necessary and making sure that all my questions were answered.
