NEW TEACHER SPECIAL: Introductory rates for my first 10 students.
Hello! I’m Matthew, born and raised in the UK. I am a blogger and a passionate language learner & tutor. What sets me apart is that I have learnt multiple languages by myself from scratch as an adult such as Cantonese and Mandarin (Fluent/Advanced) as well as Hakka and BSL (Conversational/Intermediate). This means I am someone who's intimately familiar with the language learning process and having walked this path 5 times over, I know what it's like. I don't just teach English, but rather I help you with the process of language acquisition so you can reach fluency faster.Che tipo di insegnante sono
I currently have formal & informal teaching experience. I have tutored 70+ lessons of Maths in the past mainly to 15-16-year-olds wanting to pass the GCSE public exam but have decided to transition to teaching English as a foreign language due to finding language learning and different cultures to be fascinating. During this time of professional tutoring each student had their own Tailored Learning Programs depending on their learning preferences and goals.
On top of this, I have informal teaching experience teaching English as a foreign language through language exchange where I would teach someone else English and they would teach me their native language. Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
I am a strong proponent of the Communicative Approach. In my classroom YOU are the star.
For conversation seekers: This will build confidence and fluency, as we practice either with or without topics to make sure you are prepared to enter conversation in any environment.
For structured lessons: Here the main focus is either vocabulary & grammar you will actually use, or the 4 skills (reading, listening, speaking & writing).
The polyglot edge: As an accomplished language learner myself, I believe that much of the learning goes on in between lessons so often I can offer tailored coaching on self-study and immersion techniques, and tools such as SRS Flashcards.Il mio materiale didattico

Tutorful Maths Tutor• Each lesson was planned and delivered, mainly from text books and available past papers to encourage and grow the student's understanding of the subject's material. Online material was also taught on occasions in lessons and given out as homework.
• Student's were motivated in many different ways from starting at a place that they feel comfortable to challenging them when felt appropriate. Aim is for the student to enjoy Maths themselves through my passion & enthusiasm.
