Having studied five foreign languages on my own and without living in the country where those languages were spoken (except Dutch) I know very well how challenging it is to improve one's language skills! I empathize very easily with new students, and I cherish people with different backgrounds. I am looking for motivated adult students who are genuinely interested in the Italian culture. I like to teach in an informal learning environment with ample room for mutual feedback between teacher and apprentice. Depending on my students' level, I devise a personalized learning plan based on their needs. I like to set up creative lessons in which I alternate between listening and speaking activities. I provide a variety of inputs to create more learning opportunities for my students, using different teaching materials such as videos, songs, plays, games, etc. Upon requests, I can also delve into the most challenging parts of the Italian grammar and vocabulary. Another excellent class with Silvia. I so appreciate the opportunity to work on all aspects of my language development - including reading and writing. Silvia creates a number of opportunities to engage with materials and incorporates just the right amount of grammar into each lesson. Grazie mille!
