My name is Giulia and I come from Friuli, a region in Northeastern Italy. When I was 3 years old I pretended I could read children's books in front of my family, whereas I had simply learnt the stories by heart while listening to my mum reading. After children's books in Italian, I started playing around with English and, by the age of 14, I could also speak French. At university I learnt Spanish and since 2012 I'm stubbornly studying German (in fact, I moved to Berlin for my Master's and I figured out I'd stay here for a while longer). After studying International Relations (in Italy) and Intercultural Conflict Management (in Germany) I started working at a bakery while figuring out which job I'd like to do. Fact is, I didn't see myself as a diplomat and I wanted to continue playing around with languages! That's why I decided to become a full-time teacher of Italian and to take the CEDILS test in Venice for professional language teaching. Since 2013 I've been teaching Italian to hundreds of students from all over the world (both online and offline) and I honestly don't think I'll ever quit my job. Many of my students actually become good friends and often visit me when they travel around Europe.Certificati

Giulia is an excellent teacher. This lesson had conversation, interactive quizzing, and homework. Giulia is very good at discovering my weaknesses and working with me on them.

I had another excellent lesson with Giulia today. We had a wide ranging conversation, discussing the US presidential election and then Elena Ferrante's novel L'amica geniale. Giulia corrected various mistakes that I made and also provided me with some interesting follow up readings for next week.
