Chiyoko is so fun and easy to talk to! I look forward to my lessons with her and I always feel like I learn so much each time.

I recently passed the JLPT N1, and I feel that my conversations with 千代子さん really helped. I studied on my own, using the 新完全マスター series of books. I did five practice exams. I listened to the NHKジャーナル daily. I subscribed to the 朝日新聞 and made an effort to read at least one article a day. I also had weekly conversations with 千代子さん, discussing everything from politics and society to personal interests. When I had a question about a sentence in a book or a word or paragraph in an article, 千代子さん was extremely helpful. She spoke at my level, and over time, I found that words I had previously studied would naturally come up in conversation. If you want to get your N1 certificate, you have to study on your own. No one can make up for the effort and energy required to pass at that level. But if, on top of your studies, you include weekly lessons with 千代子さん, you will find yourself having delightful discussions that reinforce what you have learned.
