Γεια σας! I’m Katerina, a certified Greek teacher passionate about sharing my language and culture. Born and raised in Greece, I now call vibrant Thessaloniki home, but my heart belongs to exploring new places (camera in hand!). My 14 years as a dancer taught me discipline and creativity, skills I bring to teaching. What makes my lessons unique? I specialize in helping refugees, migrants, and newcomers *live* Greek - not just learn it. Whether we’re 'traveling' through photos, dissecting song lyrics, or debating the best mousaka recipe, I’ll make sure you’re ready for real-life conversations. Teaching is my passion! I like tailoring my classes around my students and their needs. I love talking about my language, my culture, food and customs and I promise, you will love it too. For the last 3 years, I have been working mostly with refugees but also with migrants, both adults and underage. I had many students, and some of them have reached such a high level that they are working as interpreters in the country right now. I always try to deliver a fun, interactive lesson tailored to each student's needs. Patience and persistence are some of the characteristics that make me a good teacher, especially in such a different and difficult language as Greek is. Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
As I mentioned before, my lessons are fun and combine many tools. I always emphasize in verbal communication, but I also use textbooks, screen sharing, board games, and even online educational games. Once we reach a level, we can also add local newspapers, playlists of songs and websites for a better practice of the language and the culture. Together we will learn how to book tickets, hotel rooms, vacation, how to order food, or even how to cook a greek recipe. I promise, you will love everything about Greece!Il mio materiale didattico

I have once again has a fantastic and interactive lesson with Katerina. Not only are her English skills flawless but her Greek teaching ability is second to none. If you’re after the perfect teacher than look no further. My reading, writing, listening and speaking has drastically improved with the help of Katerina, not to mention she is a delightful young lady and so easy to chat with :)

Katerina is a pleasure to study with - I did a series of lessons with her and have learned a lot. As a beginner in Greek - I could have easily been intimidated, but Katerina has been patient, kind, supportive and a joy to spend time with. I really enjoy her energy, and I look forward to each lesson - even when I'm tired or the lesson has been hard. She makes it fun, and it has made all the difference in my learning. And now I can't wait to go to Greece and test out my new skills!

Another enjoyable lesson! If you are looking to learn Greek with a genuinely lovely person who speaks perfect English and has a great sense of humour, choose Katerina!! Learning this difficult language becomes more fun and a bit easier every lesson. Great teacher!
