My name is Giusy, I'm a native italian speaker and I currently live in the south of Italy.
I've been learning multiple languages for many years now and it is something I am extremely passionate about. I am fascinated by every single part of the language learning process.
I really enjoy listening to music and posdcasts, dancing, reading and cooking.
One of my biggest goals is to travel as much as possible in the future, to be able to talk to people from all over the world, discover and appreciate new cultures, foods and traditions.Che tipo di insegnante sono
As previously mentioned, I am a fellow language learner, which means that I know how difficult it is to learn a language, especially if you are nervous or worried about making mistakes.
As your community tutor, I will make sure to keep the conversation fun and easy so you always feel comfortable and relaxed during a lesson.
My lessons are a judgment-free space where we can learn and grow together.

My teaching style is informal and friendly, I will offer you my help in two different types of lessons:
📌 In the first type of lesson we will focus on improving your listening and conversation skills. Here you will learn new vocabulary and improve your pronounciation while discussing our goals, hobbies and passions. If you are interested in how the language actually sounds and how natives truly speak, this is the perfect lesson for you!
📌 In this type of lesson we will focus on creating the perfect balance between the four key aspects of learning a language: speaking, listening, writing and reading. Here we can use a range of digital resources to keep the lesson fun and interesting.Il mio materiale didattico

A month ago, I began learning Italian without knowing what to expect. I simply hoped to make a little progress and perhaps pick up a few phrases. To my surprise—and delight—this journey has become something I genuinely look forward to, especially my twice-weekly lessons with Giusy.
Giusy creates a safe, supportive learning environment where I never feel judged for making mistakes. Her constant encouragement has been vital. Learning a new language as an adult can feel daunting—like trying to dance in a room full of professionals when you’ve just learned to walk. But Giusy’s patience and positivity have made all the difference.

Learning Italian with Giusy has been a delightful mix of grammar, gestures, and giggles. After 17 lessons, I finally hit a small milestone—I ordered my meal in Italian! Sure, I spoke slowly enough for the waiter to understand, but I made it. And he smiled. Or maybe winced. Still, the dishes came out correctly.
Thanks to Giusy’s patience and guidance, I now know my svegliarsi from my alzarsi, and I’m no longer confusing sete and sette. It’s been a fun ride so far, and I know the key is consistency and persistence.
Grazie mille, Giusy! Let’s keep going until I can argue with a Napoletano taxi driver in Italian.
