I was lucky to grow up in a Bilingual environment using English and varieties of Chinese, hence maintaining native proficiency in both. I was born in Beijing, grew up in Singapore, and have been living in the USA for 10+ years where I completed my Bachelors, Masters and MBA. I current work as a Sales Manager in the IT Staffing & Consulting industry, and split my time between Shanghai and USA.
我在北京出生，五岁时去了新加坡。在新加坡接受了幼稚园之高中的教育，同时每年都会回北京或上海两次。2011年来到美国，拿到本科，硕士和MBA。目前在美国的新泽西州从事信息技术类的资源培训销售工作。很庆幸生长环境让我自然而然精通双语。

要找到一位好的英语老师不难。但大多数母语为中文的英语教师，都是通过学习而掌握英语。要达到交流顺畅和口语自然，不是靠背单词，记语法和做习题；文化特征，语境，风俗习惯等等，是不可或缺的内容。
在国外20+年的生活，留学，和工作经验（华尔街实习，企业工作8+年）让我在课上能够穿插讲解相关的文化背景知识。我学过韩语和日语，所以理解学习语言的艰辛。还记得刚到新加坡的时候，一句英文也听不懂，没办法和其他小朋友玩耍，老师上课时更是糊涂和迷茫。后来随着时间，英语能力自然而然地和当地孩子没区别了。
所谓语言学习技巧啦成功学啦，各种教学窍门五花八门不胜枚举。撇开好不好有没有效果不说 ，至少不是每位老师的教学方法都适合每个人。学习语言最基本的就是多练习，加上出错的时候能即使被纠正，不要一直浸泡在错误中。 细节的部分就因人而异，根据自己的程度，目标，时间，兴趣等等，找到最适合有效的学习方式。让我用标准的普通话，带你“学习”标准的英文吧！

Teacher Karen is very nice. Her teaching method is very effective. She guided me to say what I wanted to say and corrected my mistakes. Even if the lesson is overtime, she will still answer all my questions. It's really great! Better than I expected! I am looking forward to next lesson!
