Hallo! I’m Liselot, I’m from Belgium and I live in Chile. I am both a tutor (Dutch) and student (currently mostly French) on italki. Besides teaching, I like reading, learning, sharing food and thoughts with friends, and discovering new places. Above all, I try to live my life slowly, intentionally, and happily. My goal is to facilitate your language acquisition process. I adapt my lessons to your level and needs. I create a safe and comfortable environment for you to speak Dutch with me. Learning Dutch (or any language) is sometimes a seemingly never-ending road with a lot of ups and downs. Let's try to make each lesson an "up" moment!
I teach Dutch on italki to all levels and people. I also teach Dutch grammar in small groups of Spanish speakers, and on Saturday mornings I go to the Dutch school in Santiago to teach and have fun with my youngest students!Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
The lessons are all about you. So please never hesitate to tell me what you think or want! I am here to help, guide, and support you.
For intermediate to advanced students, I have developed a "teaching habit” in which I try to inspire and stimulate my students through presenting them with a small piece of information (an illustration, a typical Dutch expression, the headline of a Dutch or Flemish news article, or whatever comes along) and let the conversation flow!
My beginners classes tend to be more structured.
