Mes élèves disent que je suis très curieuse et qu'ils apprécient le fait que j'aime discuter de tout. J'ai vécu dans 5 pays différents et j'ai également voyagé dans presque 30 pays. J'aime apprendre de mes élèves, écouter ce qu'ils ont à dire et ce qu'ils valorisent.
Je suis aussi maman de deux enfants en bas âge, et je leur enseigne à parler français et portugais.
Che tipo di insegnante sono
I have been teaching on italki since 2015. I specialise in accent reduction and in "spoken French". I also worked for the MimicMethod for a few years, where I was the Head of French Instruction and helped give specific pronunciation feedback to students.
Later on, I also took lessons with a cinema accent coach and got acquainted with a more theatrical approach, which helped me be more versatile in my feedback.
When I see one type of feedback doesn't work, I try another one. Each student reacts differently to different verbal cues, so I think it's important I can bring these different approaches to them, whenever needed :)Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
I do expect some level of motivation from my students and I expect you to give all you can during the lessons :) I don't bite, though, I promise!

Excellent teacher! I am confident that I will become conversational sooner than I thought. I have only taken 30 classes and I can already understand a lot of audio dialogues without having to read or look up most of the paragraph per say. She has also never made me feel embarrased about my speech. She is very patient and yet knows how to correct the position of the jaw, lips and tongue to correctly say something in French!

Gaëlle is excellent french teacher! She teaches really contemporary french - slang, bad words included! :-) Now, when I moved to France, I realize every day that french people really talk like Gaëlle thought me!! ;-) She makes very personalized lessons, uses material of variable themes... thank you, Gaëlle, for stimulating discussions we had! :-) I also liked how easygoing and flexible you are!

Enjoyed fascinating conversations about what is happening in the world, gaining confidence at speaking on current topics and finding the words to express myself. Followed by identification of sounds and understanding rules around pronunciation. Gaëlle is most engaging and very helpful.

The number one reason holding me back from ever learning French in the past was pronunciation. As an English-speaker I thought the pronunciation was impossible to master. I couldn't even hear the differences between many French sounds, let alone attempt to reproduce them myself. That's all changed sinced working with Gaëlle. I can not only hear the differences between ALL the sounds, but can also reproduce them at a pretty high level. I finally don't sound like that awful English-speaker "trying " to speak French. Thank you Gaëlle!!

La professeure Gaëlle est une spécialiste de la prononciation. Ayant vécu et voyagé partout, elle a une perspective internationale, ce qui est intéressant. Elle est toujours bien préparée et utilise systématiquement un carnet, Google Docs ou autre, pour transmettre le nouveau vocabulaire appris.
